This program delivered by the Hamilton Health Science's Hospital Elder Life Program team will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to detect and prevent delirium in seniors in a variety of settings. You will gain knowledge on the most updated research on delirium prevention and management strategies to apply in your practice setting. You will learn to recognize risk factors for delirium and the actions that can be taken to minimize them, including involving family members in delirium prevention. The course will be delivered using didactic, small group problem-based learning, dialogue, and hands-on approaches.
